Kathie Hild (15 years)
Kathie Hild began work as a page at Oxford on 6/14/93. Her 15 years with Lane have included work as a part-time and as a full-time Library Assistant in the Circulation Department at OXB; full-time Bookkeeper in the Business Office and her current position, full-time Human Resources Assistant. Kathie is often a welcome extra pair of hands in Circulation at each location.
 
Cathy Johnson (10 years)
Cathy Johnson has been the Order Clerk for the system since 1/12/98. She inputs orders for the entire system. Cathy quietly and efficiently enters thousands of orders every year. Cathy’s attention to detail and her ability to see the larger picture is a bonus for the Lane Libraries. She may be a “behind the scenes” employee but her contribution to smooth and efficient running of the Lane Libraries is pivotal to our success.
 
Hualing Wan (10 years)
Hualing has worked as a Cataloger at Lane since 5/26/1998. She came to us from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where she completed her MLS. Hualing stays abreast of trends in cataloging and is known for attention to detail which is of course critical for the cataloging process. She  has also taken a leadership role in the Diversity SWG. 
 
Margaret Winstead (15 years)
On 8/13/93, Margaret began employment with Lane as the Receiving Clerk. She has also served as a clerk in the Information Department at Hamilton and as Library Assistant in Technical Services. Today she serves as the Cataloging Clerk in Technical Services.  Recently, Margaret served on the Advisory and Implementation Committees for the Merit Pay process. She was recognized and valued n both groups for her analytical and organizational skills.
 
Robbie Smith (20 years)
On 10/31/88, Robbie Smith began work with the Lane Libraries as a Page at Fairfield. During her 20 years with Lane she has worked as a part-time and as a full-time Library Assistant at the Lindenwald Branch and as a full-time Library Assistant at Fairfield. She now works as a full-time Library Assistant in Bookmobile where she not only quickly completes her own tasks but also helps her Bookmobile team mates. 
 
Sarah Alleman (25 years)
On 6/6/83, Sarah began as a Cataloger in Technical Services and she continues in that position now. She orders the biographies for the system. She works well with the volunteers and is recognized system wide as our resident culture maven.
 
Lisa Hires (30 years)
On 9/6/78, Lisa began employment with Lane as a part-time student assistant in Hamilton’s Adult Department and within a year she became a full-time employee. She quickly progressed to her present role as a Cataloger in Technical Services. Her quick mind and many years of experience with Lane have made her the “go to” person for staff questions and advice. Her reliability and dependability have greatly benefited the Lane system during her 30 years of service.

Carol Bowling (20 years)
Carol became the Head of the Main Library on 7/5/88. Her leadership and organizational skills have served her and Lane Libraries well through two major building renovations. It is not unusual to find Carol working the Circulation desk or filling in at the Information desk. She has been a "hands on" leader for her branch and her intellect , professionalism and pragmatic approach to problem solving have made her an excellent role model for all Lane employees.

Heidi Patterson (10 years)  
Heidi began her employment with Lane on 10/5/98 as a part-time Library Assistant in the Circulation Department of the Fairfield Lane Library. She remained in her part-time position until 11/1/99 when she was promoted to the full-time Systems Technician position she holds today. She has thrived in her current role in part because of her interest in all things technical. Her ability to analyze and address technological issues and the ever evolving Lane system has made her a most valued member of the Fairfield team. Clearly, Heidi has not forgotten her roots as she will often help out at Circulation desk during busy times.

Eric Johnson  (10 years)
On 3/30/98, Eric Johnson joined the staff at the Hamilton location as an Information Services Librarian. He quickly demonstrated his competence  as a reference librarian and as the music expert for his location. On 9/13/06 Eric was promoted to the Head of Information Services at Oxford Lane Library. He serves as a role model for his staff with his excellent reference skills and his calm and proactive customer service.
 
Alice (Ahrens) Radlinski (10 years)
Alice began employment with Lane on 11/16/98 as a part-time Library Assistant in the InformationServices Department of the Hamilton location. She also worked in the Circulation Department in Hamilton and in Information Services at Oxford. She is currently serving as the MORE clerk in Oxford. No matter where Alice has worked in the Lane Libraries she has been a quick study for any new processes and procedures. Her excellent customer service skills benefited each location and department in which she worked. In her current position, her attention to detail and ability to complete her work in a timely and accurate manner serves Lane Libraries well..
 
Patsy Grabach (20 years)
Patsy began her 20 years of employment as a part-time clerical worker the in Smith Library on 12/1/88. In June 1990, she was promoted to part-time Information Services Librarian at Oxford and she has remained in that position. Patsy has maintained her passion for literature and serving information needs of the Oxford community throughout her time with Lane. She is a respected member of the Information Services Department and she is known for her attention to detail and her years of excellent reference service.     
 
Smith Library
 
Theresa Beck (20 years)
Terry began her 20 years with the library on 12/10/88 as a part-time Librarian I at the Oxford Lane Library. In January of 1990, Terry began her full-time position as a Children’s Librarian in Children’s Services at Oxford. During her tenure as a Children’s Librarian, Terry was well known in the Oxford community for her creative and theatrical story times. Her skills and passion for her work served her and the Oxford library well for many years. In December of 2001, Terry became a part-time Library Assistant in the Smith Library. She brought her knowledge and enthusiasm for the history of the Oxford area to this position. She continues to serve in this position today and is recognized by the library and her community for her valued added customer service.
 
Valerie Elliott (20 years)
Valerie began her career as Head of the Smith Library on 6/13/88. Her position has always been part-time, but you wouldn’t know that based on the amount and excellence of the work Valerie generates in her position. She is recognized as the local history expert not only in the Oxford community but in the larger community of Southwest Ohio. She is a much sought after speaker and is well known within the Lane system as the passionate advocate for her location. Valerie’s keen interest in offering the best and most complete resource for local history has kept the Smith Library in the forefront of historical libraries in the region.
